Jacques Marin

Jacques Marin, born September 9, 1919 in Paris and died on January 10, 2001 in Cannes, buried in the Grand Jas (Cannes), is a French actor. A former student of the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique of Paris, her film career starts truly in 1951 with his role in forbidden Games. It runs no fewer than 16 films with his friend Jean Gabin. Physically close to the stereotype of French, with its roundness bougonne and his mustache brush, but it has appeared in many american productions. He is a master indeed perfectly English, thanks to his wife Patricia Hutchinson. This will allow him to approach many stars, such as Marlon Brando, Audrey Hepburn, Cary Grant, Errol Flynn,Orson Welles, Burt Lancaster, Julie Andrews, Dustin Hoffman, Michael Caine, Anthony Quinn... It will also double many american movies in French, including cartoons of Walt Disney. In 1963, he played the role of the father in the first realisation Claude Berri The Chicken, which will be rewarded by a distinction at the Venice film festival and an Oscar in Hollywood. He has also played in many theatre plays, broadcast on television in The theatre to-night, and in tv series like The Last Five Minutes. He has done many voice-overs, particularly of cartoons. He was one of the founders of the prix Adami, an association that fights for the rights of artists.
