Irène Tunc

Irène Tunc, first of all, Miss Côte d'azur has been elected Miss France in 1954. The election took place in Evian-les-Bains. Married from 1958 to 1964 the belgian director Ivan Govar, she became the wife of the filmmaker Alain Cavalier, devoted to a film released in 2009, Irene. She was among the 343 women who, in 1971, has publicly stated in the Manifesto of the 343 will be made to abort. Irène Tunc died in 1972, at the age of 37 years, a result of his injuries in a road accident.
