Irene Escolar

Cinema and theatre actress, a Spanish born in Madrid (spain)and belonging to a family with great tradition in the scene. He studied interpretation in the school of Cristina Rota and is currently studying English Philology at the UNED. He began his professional career in the theatre with plays such as 'Mariana Pineda' in 1998 and 'Adiós a la bohemia' in 2001. In his appearances on the small screen emphasizes its role of Juana la Loca in the series 'Isabel' on Spanish Television. In the film, he has participated in numerous tapes such as 'The sunflowers the blind', 'the end of the road' and 'The sheep do not lose the train'. His most prominent role was that of June in the movie 'An autumn without Berlin', for which he won his first Goya award for Best Actress.
