Yannis Zouganelis

He was born in Athens on 3 February 1956 and hails from the island of Mykonos and Naxos. He is married to Isidora Sideri and have a daughter,Eleonora Zouganelis. Continued at the National Conservatory of Athens, with harmony, music theory and piano under the teaching of Πατρικίδη and Βώκου. Decisive role in the development of his musical studies, he played the composer Nikos Mamangakis, who taught him orchestration and rhythm. In 1975, with a scholarship from the Ministry of Culture (for the work of "Ten Byzantine essays" small symphonic ensemble and mixed choir), he studied composition, orchestration and opera in the Academy of Arts in Munich, from which he graduated with honors.
