Work of Art (1960)

Dr. Ivan Nikolaevich received a bronze candelabrum from a grateful for the cure of Sasha Smirnov. But the doctor is embarrassed: the candelabrum is quite immodest - two completely naked mollusks - The doctor is meditating: who should give this ill-fated present to? Suddenly he recalls that he remained owed to lawyer Ukhov for his consultations. In turn, Ukhov, driven by the same feeling as the doctor, gets rid of the gift, handing it to the comedian actor Shashkin on the day of benefit. Shashkin, having decided that such a "work of art" could compromise him, sells the candelabra to an antique bronze store owned by Sasha Smirnov's mother. And Sasha, glad that he finally found a pair of donated candelabra, hands it to the doctor .
