When the City Dies (1969)

Basking in the glory of her success, the famous actress, Jella, can't explain how her lover, Aris Ragousis, manages to finance her latest movie. Of course, very few know that Aris is a corrupt and well-connected profiteer who is involved in a ruthless trafficking ring of dangerous adulterated medicines. However, when the young idealist physician, Dr Vasilis, unwittingly administers the counterfeit drugs to sick orphans, and ten of the poor kids die, Jella will start to understand the situation. Now, an innocent man takes the blame for Aris' wrongdoings. Can a woman alone bring down Ragousis' lucrative business?
