The past no longer exists (Vroeger Bestaat Niet Meer). A year after their 11-year-old son Floris was killed in an accident, the grief of the Mensch family is still visible. Father, mother and their seventeen-year-old daughter Sacha each process the loss in his or her way and become completely alienated from each other. The depressive mood of the mother determines the oppressive atmosphere. The introvert Sacha suffers from the situation. Moreover, she is also close to her final exams. The lorry driver who drove Floris has been in contact with the family for a year, but mother keeps his letters scrupulously behind. She does not want anything to do with the killer. Sacha has arrived at the point where she wants to know exactly what happened, especially because she, as an older sister, feels guilty about his death. She starts a search for the driver.
