Valsø Holm

Valsø Henrik Holm was the son of a labourer, Charles Holm. He was bankelev in Handelsbanken and after some years as a banker, he studied acting at the William Rosenberg, and went through The royal. Theatre elevskole 1927-1929. He made his debut at The royal theatre. Theatre in 1929 as The in "the waverer / The weathercock". Already 2 years before, he had been with in the stumfilmen "Here we come with the full music". It was a Fy and Bi films where he was the stand-in for the Bi. He played from 1931 numerous major and minor roles in the majority of the copenhagen privatteatre and was also known in the province. He had fol.a. fixed engagements at The Royal Theatre in copenhagen, the dagmar theatre, The great hall, Nørrebros Teater, det Ny Teater and Folketeatret. He had the title role in Jeppe on the Mountain" on Andelsteatret and was for a number of years real starring in "Nøddebo Præstegaard:". He also appeared as visesanger and got significant successes in various of the larger music halls and theatrical. He was much used in radio theater. Most known, he was, however, probably because of its many roles in movies and later on tv. Valsø Holm translated a number of English and american detective novels. Valsø Holm came a part at colleague lbrecht Schmidt and fell in love with colleague's housekeeper Ester Jønsson, whom he married in 1937.
