The one that didn't bend (1968)
After a nearly fatal car accident, the conscientious head-nurse of a public orphanage, Martha, responds to the authorities' desperate call for help and donates her blood to save the life of the severely wounded businessman, Alekos. Before long, after that selfless act of kindness, a passionate romance will set the stage for a beautiful relationship, and then, marriage; however, something is missing. As a result, incapable of having a baby, proud Martha summons up the courage to contemplate separation, even if her respectable but terrible decision will pave the way for a life of misery. Will Alekos have mercy on Martha, the woman who never yielded?
