Theodosis Mentikas, the unpretentious owner of a thrilling sideshow at a travelling fairground, has always wanted to make it big; however, to no avail. And then, out of the blue, fortune smiles on the poor toiler, when a godsend lawyer brings great news--Theodosis is to receive an immense fortune from his long-forgotten brother in Africa. To put it another way, his is just another from-rags-to-riches story; nevertheless, as Theodosis and his young nephew, Nasos, indulge themselves in the sweet pleasures of dolce vita, an unforeseen secondary will imperils their lush lifestyle and their newly-acquired tastes. Will Theodosis remember his humble origins?
