The madness of the square celibacy (1970)
Above all, the young, untried, and impecunious lawyer, Yorgos Agraniotis, is against marriage. A confirmed bachelor, Yorgos doesn't even want to hear a word about settling down, even though his kind and understanding landlady, Aspasia, would love to marry off her statuesque niece, Eleni, to him. To convince him, Aspasia concocts an intricate plan with the help of Yorgos' expatriate uncle, John Agras, involving a large inheritance. However, there are strings attached. To get $500,000 and a new life, Yorgos must first stay married for two long months to Helen Scott, a woman whom she's never met. The offer is tempting. Will Yorgos stay true to his word?
