The Great Sacrifice (1962)

Disenchanted with Gianna, his frivolous, party-animal fiancée, the brilliant, up-and-coming architect, Dimitris Farras, decides to break off his engagement. Then, a chance encounter with the talented young singer, Christina, will pave the way for a whirlwind romance, and as one thing leads to another, the two lovers tie the knot and start a family. However, Dimitris' heartless and haughty mother, who never gave her consent to their marriage, is bent on ruining the newlyweds' happiness, going as far as to join forces with cruel, scheming Gianna. Now, Dimitris is second-guessing himself, and what is even more disheartening, their baby girl is caught in the middle. Will Dimitris unearth the conspiracy, and appreciate Christina's sacrifice?
