'The Desert' is the personal story of Jordan, a rebellious 24-year-old British girl from the housing-estates. Lost and disillusioned by life, she decides to escape the misery and boredom of her daily existence in order to travel to a camp in the middle of the desert to become a mule, a smuggler who for a few thousand euros, will carry drugs in her stomach. Jordan's vision of the world is the expression of a pure void, which gives a tragic dimension to her character. She contemplates the world without trying to give it sense and is determined by nothing except by fate.
