Desperate and utterly convinced that the love of her life has betrayed her, Lena Petri, an honest and sensitive girl who is living under the same roof with her grandmother, decides to put a premature end to her life. Severely injured, Lena is rushed to the hospital, where, thanks to surgeon Christos Vranas' valiant efforts is saved by the skin of her teeth.
