In some city down in the southwest of China, it was a muggy summer day chen yaochuan, a sophomore student, had to go through his first medical exam for pilot recruitment. but on that very same day, his older brother chen fujiang tragically ended his own life. right before chen yaochuan's mock college entrance examination, his mom, zhou ying, insisted he go back to school and get ready for the tests. but when he returned, his teacher broke the news that he didn't make the cut for the pilot program. so, chen yaochuan chose to study at home on his own accord.
