Roger Carel
Roger Carel, his real name is Roger Bancharel, is a French actor born on August 14, 1927 in Paris. Major personality of the French dubbing, he has lent his voice to many characters such as Asterix, C-3PO, Alf, Winnie the pooh, Maestro, Kermit the frog,Benny Hill or Hercule Poirot. Roger Carel has announced that in October 2014 on Europe 1 that he decided to take his retirement ; Asterix : The Domain of the gods is his last work and last dubbing. It has a first vocation for the priesthood and completed his studies at the Institution Saint-Nicolas. He left the seminary and entered an engineering school, the way he gives up his turn : he wants to do comedy. While taking lessons at Simon, he begins at the theater in the late 1940s, before embarking on the film, drama and soap operas radioet the cabaret during the 1950's. It appears in many films, plays and television series to success as Arsène Lupin, in which he played the inspector Guerchard. In January 2012, he was awarded the prix Henri-Langlois for his work as a whole. He has written an autobiographical book : I admit that I laughed and laughed (1986). He lives in Villemomble, Seine-Saint-Denis, and has long owned a second home in Villejésus, a village in the north Charente.
