Red Hot Tires (1935)
The intense rivalry between auto racing teammates Wally Storm (Lyle Talbot) and Robert Griffin (Gavin Gordon) for the romantic attentions of mechanic and sponsor's daughter Pat Sanford (Mary Astor) was no secret...so much so, that their in-race wheel lock-up that resulted in Griffin's death netted Wally a homicide conviction. Will Pat's labors to prove Wally's innocence finish ahead of his plans for jailbreak? Roscoe Karns, Frankie Darro, Mary Treen also star.
