Our Dad, Danielle (2024)
A wildly successful patent attorney, Danielle Joy "DJ" Healey, was in the peak of her career when, at 44, she first admitted out loud the secret she'd been hiding for decades: Danielle is a trans woman. She and her wife keep this secret for another decade until in 2017 at the age of 57, DJ finally comes out publicly on Facebook. How does this transition affect her 30-year marriage to her wife Becky, their two daughters, and her prestigious law career in the vortex of Texas conservatism? As the political landscape evolves and Danielle's world expands, she integrates into the LGBTQ+ community, using her legal prowess to help fight for the rights of her trans and queer brothers, sisters and siblings.
