Open Sea (1954)
Beautiful but desperate Smaro, refusing to accept her cruel mariner father's decision to marry an almost twice-her-age man, the seemingly honest navigator, Captain Rafalias, summons up the courage to end her life. As fate would have it, Konstadis, the sole survivor of a fatal shipwreck, saves Smaro from certain death, and as one thing leads to another, the two perfect strangers fall madly in love. However, despicable Captain Rafalias is not prepared to take this situation lying down and, green with envy, swears revenge. Can the villainous suitor stand in the way of the young couple's happiness?
