Oldřich Lipský

Well-known Czech director and screenwriter, the younger brother of actor Lubomír Leipzig, was born 4. July 1924 in Pelhřimov. During the war he was active in community theater Young comedy, heavily influenced by the pre-war formation of the Liberated theatre. In the summer of 1945 he moved from his hometown to Prague, where he studied law and philosophy, but after a time, preferred the theatre, love the theater and the film were in his case stronger. He worked as an actor, director and artistic director in the Theater of satire, which, together with the brother - the actor Lubomírem and other friends have established.
