Martina and her partner Ralf run an upscale restaurant in Cologne with great success. On the Breton coast they now want to recover from everyday stress. The holiday is going wonderfully, the two are still as in love as on the first day and enjoying the break in the wild and romantic surroundings. But then one day Ralf doesn't return from an early morning sailing excursion. The police can locate the boat, but Ralf has disappeared. While the French officials assume a sailing accident in which Ralf fell overboard, Martina does not want to be satisfied with this explanation. She is firmly convinced that Ralf is still alive and that there must be another reason for his disappearance. But their desperate search on the Breton coast remains unsuccessful. Back in Germany, the nagging doubts do not leave her in peace. Again and again in the coming weeks she comes across clues that could explain Ralf's whereabouts - and then only increase the agonizing uncertainty. Her childhood friend Johannes, her brother Andreas and her mother Renate try in vain to give her other thoughts. But Martina cannot and does not want to finish with what has happened. Torn between hope and despair, she gradually seems to lose her mind, she feels pursued and watched. Then a trail leads you back to France, to a sleepy village on the Breton coast.
