Noites do Sertão (1984)

Belo Horizonte, 1950. Divided from Irvino, who ran away with another woman, the beautiful and fragile Lalinha will live on the Buriti Bom farm with her two sisters-in-law and her widowed father-in-law. The family's friendship comforts her and little by little she gets to know the local people. The veterinarian Miguel arrives to vaccinate the cattle and awakens the love of the youngest. When he leaves, an unexpected libidinal plot is established, Maria Behú dies and Lalinha returns to the city, leaving Iô Liodoro and the beautiful Glory of her hair in lots of sunshine.
