Nicolas Courdouan

Born in Toulon, France in 1985, Courdouan studied English Literature before attending film school in Marseille where he majored in non-linear editing. After graduating he worked briefly as an assistant editor in Paris on both TV and cinema productions before deciding to focus on camera work and directing. After shooting several no-budget music videos and indie features for other filmmakers, he was approached by Black Ostrich Entertainment to write and direct the web-series '5 Cents and The Boyz', based on an original idea by Hamza Firdous. This project gave him the confidence to write and direct his first short, 'Radha', a fantasy film with hints of cosmic horror based on a feature-length screenplay he co-wrote with award-winning screenwriter Lindsay J. Sedgwick. 'Radha' won four awards (Short of the Year, Best Fantasy, Best Female Performance and Best Director) at the Shiver International Film Festival in 2016. Courdouan resides in Dublin, Ireland.
