For Mouse Palace a real apartment was rebuilt as a 1:10 scale model from edible materials for the use of mice. The rodents had hardly arrived when they began nibbling away at their lodgings. The hallmark of Harald Hund and Paul Horns films is the gleeful, ironical way they reduce our ideas of space and our notions of normalcy to absurdity.
