Monika Revilla

Monika Revilla is a Mexican screenwriter. She is the writer and executive producer of the feature film Dance of the 41 (2020) directed by David Pablos. The movie depicts the true story of a clandestine homosexual society during the 19th century. She has written on various TV shows including: The House of Flowers (2018), Someone Has to Die (2020), Juana Inés (2016) and Malinche (2018). She also wrote the documentary Coffee (2014) directed by Hatuey Viveros Lavielle. It is the portrait of an indigenous family in Puebla and it won the Sesterce d’or for Best Documentary at Visions du Réel.
