Through extensive research and interviews with major scientists, researchers, politicians, and victims; DISCONNECT traces the rise of a rogue industry and unveils the corrosive relationships which have corrupted public health. The documentary shows a balanced perspective of the industry by including interviews with Apple's co-founder Steve Wozniak and other major cell phone engineers and scientists. It also examines the political realities of the cellular industry through accounts from California Senators Mark Leno and Leland Yee as well as the Mayor of Portland, Nick Mavodones.
