He started his career, taking advantage of a free ride in a caravan of circus-like, which went by the Fort, but it fell apart coming into the State. He took hold of a bus, and went to Rio de Janeiro to try a career in acting. It debuted on the stages of rio de janeiro in 1948 with a show written for the Do It. He has worked in a large theatre companies, with Ziembinski, Paulo Autran and Fernanda Montenegro. It was well-known for its bandits, bohemian, and carefree, reflecting the plight of the marginalised and of the people of the lower middle class. In the theater, his greatest success was the installation of A Building, Named the 200, which was years in the chart, and with whom he travelled the country. On TV, his best work was in the novels a Flag of 2, The seat Post, and Climb. Also appeared in other hits such as Dancin' Days, the first version of the Local, "Living Water", a Happy Ending, and the mini-series the Golden Years. His last role was in the soap opera " The master of the World, in 1991.
