Mikhail Tsekhanovskiy

A graduate of the First St. Petersburg gymnasium. Started painting in high school, in the years 1908-1910 he worked in Paris in the private sculpture Studio; in the years 1911-1914, he studied at the law faculty of St. Petersburg University (not finished), then studied imperatorskoi Academy of arts (St. Petersburg) in 1918 graduated from the Moscow school of painting, sculpture and architecture. From 1918 to 1923 he served in the red Army, where he studied applied art and sculptural work, then returned to Petrograd, where he continued his studies with applied research and worked as an instructor, artist, State art and industrial College.
