Michel Ardan began as an actor, then became a producer. It has produced some big hits such as les Grandes gueules by Robert Enrico with Bourvil and Lino Ventura, A ravishing idiot Brigitte Bardot, La Grande Java, Philippe Clair with Francis Blanche and Bidasses en folie, the first film from Claude Zidi with The Chariot. He has also produced Franz directed by Jacques Brel and interpreted parBarbara, and one of the last films of Marcel Carné.
