Mateo Herrera
Matthew Herrera (Quito,1973) is an Ecuadorian director. His career is divided between his film and musical projects. With his two first fiction features "Joy of a time" (2001) and "Checkmate" (2003) I have toured many film festivals. His documentary "the Committee" (2005) won several international awards such as the Prix George Beauregard from the Fid Marseille festival; his third fiction feature "Impulse" (2009) won the Grande Prix Coup de Cœur from the Rencontres Cinemas d'amérique Latine de Toulouse. From 2013 to 2016 I directed and premiered three films: The feature "Ink Blood" (2013), the documentaries "Resonance (2013) and "The "Panopticon Blind" (2015), and feature"Chuquiragua" (2016).
