For 20 years Marion had a complicated relationship with the lawyer Olivier Queyras, who was not only her mentor, but also her husband and boss. But now she's finally found the courage to leave him and open her own practice. So, recalling unpleasant memories of her own relationship, she naturally advises Karine, one of her clients, to leave her abusive husband. But only hours after this discussion, Karine's daughter Chloé finds her mother murdered. Everything seems to point to the husband. Feeling responsible, Marion represents Chloé, who has filed a civil suit, while the husband Laurent is defended by Olivier Queyras, who makes no attempt to hide the fact that he's using the opportunity to crush his ex-wife. As soon as the trial begins, Marion understands that the cost of this vengeful duel could be her professional reputation, her sanity and maybe even her life.
