Karl Stegger

Karl Stegger (Carl Johan Stegger Sørensen) was born in Århus as the sun af Marie Kathrine Sørensen (04-06-1888 - 1923) and a Norwegian seaman. He had notable film roles in "One sku to be anything by the music" and "The forsvundne fuldmægtig" and he was very commonly used in the 60'ernes and 70'ernes folkekomedier and sengekantsfilm. In 1971 were given a Bodil award for best supporting actress in "the Ballad of Christianshavn". Karl Stegger was also applied very on the TV and -- bl.a. in 1965 in "Biedermann and brandstifterne". He also showed sit comic talent in the satirical udsendelser Hov Hov and Uha Uha, but he remembered enough of most for the role as consul Holm in the tv-series "Matador".
