Karl Stegger

Karl Stegger (Carl Johan Stegger Sørensen) was born in Århus as the sun af Marie Kathrine Sørensen (04-06-1888 - 1923) and a Norwegian seaman. He had a rough and unforgiving childhood and lost his mother as a 10-year-old. Udover changing scenes in Copenhagen, he was also stationed firstly in to gæstespil in the province, bl.a. in Odense, Århus and Ålborg Theatre. Karl Stegger had also revyarbejde and were given in the 1974 great succes in Holstebro Revyen maskeret as Per Hækkerup. His last great succes was also in Holstebro Revyen in the summer of 1979. He debuterede as a film actor in the movie "Smedestræde 4" from the 1950s and were given in 1955, the role of the Father in "Father of Four-the series" after the Ib Schønbergs death. Since was he een af the most folkekære filmskuespillere and medvirkede in løbet af his career in the more end 150 films, most often as a robust, soil and turn type. He is remembered f.ex. as skrothandleren in the "Olsen gang in Jutland" from 1971, but also for their more dramatic roles as f.ex. in "Præsten in Vejlby" from 1972. He had notable film roles in "One sku to be anything by the music" and "The forsvundne fuldmægtig" and he was very commonly used in the 60'ernes and 70'ernes folkekomedier and sengekantsfilm. In 1971 were given a Bodil award for best supporting actress in "the Ballad of Christianshavn". Karl Stegger was also applied very on the TV and -- bl.a. in 1965 in "Biedermann and brandstifterne". He also showed sit comic talent in the satirical udsendelser Hov Hov and Uha Uha, but he remembered enough of most for the role as consul Holm in the tv-series "Matador". Karl Stegger fik in 1932 a daughter with Rikke Hansen (02-06-1915), which later was påklæderske at Frederiksberg Theatre. The giftede: and it 14. maj 1938 in Vor Frue Kirke in Aarhus.
