Ivano Marescotti
Ivano Marescotti worked in the department of urban planning of the municipal council of Ravenna before beginning his acting career at the age of 35 years in theatre. He became known to the cinema with his second role in the film aria serena dell ovest (en)(1990), and increases when a supporting role, becoming one of the actors kind the Italian's most prolific years 1990 and 20001. From the end of the 1990s, it appears in international productions such as The Talented Mr Ripley (1999), Hannibal (2001) and King Arthur (2004). He was appointed to the silver Ribbon for best actor in a supporting role at three times : in 1993 for Quattro figli unici (it), in 2000 for The Talented Mr. Ripley, and in 2001 for The lingua del santo (it) and A delitto impossible (it). In 2007, it is one of the founders of the democratic party, but left the following year, disgusted by the direction taken by the party. In 2014, it is on the list The other Europe with Tsipras for the european elections.
