Participated in the Lublin-Brest, Warsaw-Poznan and Berlin operations. 17 February 1945 he was wounded and for some time was treated in the hospital. After the war I. Aksenchuk demobilized officer. From 1946 to 1948 he studied at the courses of artists-animators at the Studio "Soyuzmultfilm". After he began working as a cartoonist and then as an assistant Director Alexander Ivanov and Eugene Migunova, and since 1953 — Director. Worked in classic drawing techniques. Filmed tales of different peoples, in particular: Romanian "Walnut twig" (1955), Uzbek – AIST (1956), Italian – "the Boy from Naples". In addition to a wonderful children's cartoon, created social "movie-posters": for the anniversary of the revolution — "Our sun" about the first space flight of a man — "Thank you, heavenly brothers!", on the anniversary of the GOELRO — "Plus electrification", and others. Did cartoons for the satirical newsreel "Wick". Died in poverty on 17 July 1999 in Moscow. He was buried at St. Nicholas Archangel cemetery in Moscow.
