Sick and tired of cruel society's prejudice, the orphaned Romani woman, Marina, plucks up the courage to leave once and for all her understanding mother, and the camp where she was raised. Determined to succeed in faceless Athens, Marina, who has renounced her origins, has a chance encounter with the handsome medical student, Petros, and before long, a whirlwind romance commences. However, this affair doesn't sit well with Petros' affluent father, who is already aware of innocent Marina's status, and of course, opposes their marriage. But, Marina is harbouring a secret. Is this the beginning of a life full of suffering?
