Prof. Dr. Gerald Hüther (born. 1951) directs the Department of neuro-biological basis research in the Psychiatric clinic of the University of Göttingen. As President of the Foundation Council of the SINN-STIFTUNG (www.sinn-stiftung.eu) he brings his scientific knowledge to the practical application in potential development programs. His research interests relate to the effects of anxiety, Stress, psychological dependencies, and nutrition on the brain, as well as the suggestibility of a child's brain development by psycho-social factors and psycho-pharmacological treatments. Further topics include the effects and long-term consequences of drugs and psychotropic drugs, suggestibility of the brain development through social and other factors, and the Evolution of consciousness.
