Francis Lemaire
In the theatre, he stands out in the role of" Eye of Partridge ", alongside Michel Simon, during the creation of The wind in the branches of the Sassafras by Rene de Obaldia. Settling in Paris, his one-man show, " I am belgian, but I look after myself ", popularizing the self-derision dear to his native country. He was often asked to play the role of the belgian, especially in The Hotel from the beach in 1976 or in The professional Secrets of dr. Apfelglück in 1991. In 1973, he made his first appearance on the big screen in The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob. In 1978, he plays the title role originally intended for Aldo Maccione in the movie "The guardian Angel" which will be a commercial failure. In film, he became a regular, small roles, and continues a parallel career in theatre. He will play as well in the majority of works by his friend Jean Marais.
