Running counter to the practice of deforestation, researchers and residents of the Chapada dos Veadeiros have committed to restore de areas affected by pastures and fires. Every year they gather in the city of Alto Paraíso to discuss research works that could help bring back the Cerrado. In 2019 we followed the VII Gathering of Researchers of Chapada dos Veadeiros, hosted in the city of Alto Paraíso (state of Goiás).
