The story takes place between the two wars in the Banat village. The boy Coke marry him older girl in order to increase the property. Parallel running a story about a divorcee who is unhappily in love with Elijah. And he secretly loves because his parents do not allow him to marry the one who is already married. Kola is ailing and inexperienced, but his young wife falls in love with another guy. When hurt bride's father, Kola passes to live with her. Meanwhile, the divorcee still be admitted to Elijah's house, but not for long, because they have no children. In the end, out of the house and it can kill. During this time, Kola has served the army and returned stronger and more mature. His wife now falls in love with him, but he is tormented, retaliation for past. Gives birth to their son on April 6 in 1941.
