Bohdan Stupka
Ukrainian theater and cinema actor, laureate of the Shevchenko award (1993, for his starring role in the play "Tevye Tevel" by Sholom Aleichem), people's artist of USSR (1980), people's artist of the USSR (1991), Hero of Ukraine (2011). The actor was born 27 August 1941 in the village Kulikov (now Zhovkva district Lviv, which at that time was under Nazi occupation and was part of the district of Galicia of the General government. To the scene it taught family: father sang in the choir of the Opera house, my mother's older brother was the same soloist, and an aunt who is the main accompanist. Behind the scenes of the theatre, Bohdan Stupka saw and heard many outstanding singers of the postwar period, in particular by Ivan Kozlovsky and Sergei Lemeshev.
