Living with her aunt in a poor neighbourhood, Anna is under the impression that her precious beloved and soon-to-be-husband, Stratos, is unfaithful. Confused and embittered after an insignificant incident, Anna decides to accept her affluent aunt's invitation to live with her in the United States, and without delay, she leaves without a goodbye. After one long year, a confused and completely different Anna returns to Athens accompanied by an ambitious fiancé, only to realise that, back in the old house that she swore never to return, Stratos is still waiting for her.
