Something strange has been going on in the peaceful community of a small Greek island for the past three days, as a spate of unprecedented crimes--including the theft of two hundred gold coins--turns things upside down. But, as the police leave no stone unturned in search of the perpetrators, the news of the imminent arrival of Halley's Comet chills the bone to the marrow, triggering mass hysteria, chaos, and despair. In less than ten hours, at 06:22 precisely, the flaming meteorite will strike the Earth, ending the life as we know it.
