
Arthur Elliott
Arthur Elliott studied at the Pennyslvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1931. In 1936, he moved to Los Angeles and became one the earliest animators for Walt Disney Studios, 1936-1942. During World War II, he produced and directed training films. After World War II, he won the Cressan Traveling Scholar Award, a scholarship to paint in Europe. In 1949 he went to Paris, and in 1957 he painted in Italy. Between those dates, as these paintings demonstrate, he traveled through France and Spain. He had many solo exhibitions in Paris and Rome, and a solo exhibition on the S.S. Andrea Doria in 1954. -http://www.baronart.com/arthur_elliott.
