Father Bernard Hubbard, S.J., the Glacier Priest, narrates a look at Alaska. After a look at Alaska's size, we visit the state's three regions: the Yukon, where dogs are man's best friend and the Eskimo winter because of abundant food. Then to the southeast, where Juneau is as warm as Washington, D.C. Then on to the peninsula and Aleutian Islands, the cradle of storms. Here the salmon are nature and the economy's life blood. We watch the spawning, the fishing, and the canning.
