A look at Alaska, the last frontier. Alaska is important because of its geographic placement in the center of transcontinental air routes, its size, and its natural resources. The film looks at timber, mining, salmon fishing, and emerging agriculture. We visit Fairbanks to see a fledgling city, and then Nome, to see the old Alaska of the Eskimo. The film ends with a salute to Alaska's children, who will make their mark.
