A Long Weekend with The Son of God (2010)
An extraordinary journey to try to find out where this reincarnation of Jesus came from and why so many well educated and middle class Russians have given up their old lives to follow him into the wilderness. Discovering that Sergei Torop - the Jesus of Siberia - is an ex-beat cop whose mission to save mankind began in 1991 when the Soviet Union under Mikhail Gorbachev was falling apart. At the end of the journey finally we get to meet the man himself who believe he is the Son of God. A deeply revealing film about religion and politics in contemporary Russia.
