"Smoking allows us to communicate with fire without being consumed by it," announces the director in white letters on the screen before the appearance of the characters of "18 cigarrillos y medio". That's what Ezekiel smokes throughout the film, which contains only a small piece of a life full of searching and uncertainties. This is how we follow this young man and his friends in different places and contexts, only at times that elapses between Ezekiel light a cigarette and ends. This is how all the events crossed, as the visit to a brothel and the beating that he receives from the new boyfriend of his ex, will be rebuilt then verbally, ashtray in between. In this peculiar way interweaves the story of Ezekiel and Vivian (the girl who has a new boyfriend), a romance past that he does not seem to be closed. They made a promise: if they ever fight, both are entitled to ask one last kiss, and that is exactly what Ezekiel is looking for.
