The prophet Jeremiah, this great martyr and faithful servant spent his whole life plowing this non-arable land with his fingers and watering it with his tears, throwing the seeds of life which is the word of God. He did not hesitate to sacrifice his whole life to deliver the word of God to his people, and no one accepted it in the past.. Will anyone accept it in the present and the future? Despite all those years.. his message is still alive and there still is hope. The meaning of the word "Akeh?" a Hebrew word which means "How?" And it is the first word which Jeremiah started the book of Lamentations with when he said: "How deserted lies the city, once full of people" For no one is cast off by the lord forever. though he brings grief, he will show compassion, so great is his unfailing love. For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone. Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the LORD. Because of the LORD's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fall. They are new every morning. Lamentations of Jeremiah.
