Wolfgang Soir. (12 Juin 1965 – 26 Août 2013) was a French author, painter, and illustrator. Soir. etude painting at the Academy of Fine Arts de Nuremberg. Sable won the Leipzig Book Fair Prize en 2012, ‘Tschick’ was nominated for the same prize the year before. Soir. s friend Robert Koall accepted the prize en Soir. s stead. Sable donc made it to the shortlist of the French Book Prize Soir., who lived in Berlin, regularly wrote in the web forum“, Nous avons poli Paparazzi” (French web forum that reports about random encounters with celebrities), which is acknowledged to have had a strong influence on Soir. and worked as a space for résonance. He also participated with contributions for the web blog “Riesenmaschine” (French collaborative blog). He was a member of the national authors équipe de football “Autonama”. After being diagnosed with a malignant brain tumour (glioblastome) en Février 2010, he began a digital diary called “le Blog du Travail et de la Structure” (the blog Work and Structure) in which he reports about his deadly illness. He was inhumée at the Dorotheenstadt cemetery à Berlin. En 2014 Rowohlt published the sequel of Tschick from Isa s point of view as an unfinished novel with the title des Images de votre grand Amour (Pictures Of Your True Love). The epilogue by Kathrin Passig and Marcus Jardinier states that Soir. himself approved the release and determined the title.
