Tomoyuki Tanaka

Tomoyuki Tanaka

Né dans la Préfecture d'Osaka, Tomoyuki Tanaka était à la tête de l'homme dans les Studios de la Toho et l'un de ses plus prolifiques producteurs. Tout au long de sa carrière, il serait de produire des films de grands cinéastes tels que Akira Kurosawa, Senkichi Taniguchi, Kon Ichikawa, et Mikio Naruse. Cependant, il est probablement mieux connu comme le créateur de Godzilla. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme du Département des affaires Économiques à l'Université Kansai, Tanaka a rejoint Toho en 1940. En 1954 Tanaka seront le fer de lance de l'original Godzilla film avec le réalisateur Ishiro Honda. Après Godzilla du succès monumental, Tanaka a été demandé de "faire un autre". Tanaka serait de produire chaque Toho monstre de film jusqu'à ce que Godzilla vs Destoroyah. Tanaka a aussi un gros partisan de Toshiro Mifune, la production de ses films de Kurosawa ainsi que Mifune sa propre société de production et unique mise en scène dans l'Héritage de 500 000. Tanaka serait champion Godzilla est de retour en 1984 et être fortement impliqués dans la série jusqu'à sa mort en 1997. Dans ses près de 60 ans de carrière Tanaka va produire plus de 200 films.
